Final Stats

STATEN ISLAND, NY - Senior Allison Rojas (Manorville, NY) scored an unassisted goal in the 70th minute and freshman goalie Meghan Reichelt (Selden, NY) made four saves to help the Sacred Heart women's soccer team play defeat Wagner College, 2-0, in a Northeast Conference game Friday afternoon.

After playing to a scoreless draw in the first half and the first half of period two, Rojas broke the scoring ice by blasting a shot that deflected off Wagner's Josefine Allain for the only goal the Pioneers would need. Junior Britney Dupee (Portland, ME) scored an insurance goal less than five minutes later off a feed from freshman Lindsey Elliott (Orange, CT).

The win was the first of the season for SHU, now 1-9-4 overall and 1-1-3 in the NEC. Wagner falls to 3-9-1 and 1-3.
